Imaginative landscapes

Adrian Morley

I am a retired pathologist who specialised in kidney disease. The speciality has a strong visual element which emphasises colour and pattern recognition. On retirement part-time painting transformed into a more concentrated study of painting with John Roddam and latterly Enrique Azocar.

I like to explore a subject in acrylics or pastel, with a series of related paintings which evolve into more imaginative images removed from the original.

Landscapes, seascapes , and water in its many forms are among current interests.

I tend to work quickly with palette knife, brush, and devise suitable tools when needed

Pictures range from 12 x 20 cm up to 100 x 100 cms or more.

Sharing a Studio with the landscape artist Enrique Azocar is an ongoing education which has enabled me to develop paintings which have significant content and repay those who who look beyond the first impression.
